TREEFEST at Westonbirt Arboretum enjoyed a successful 20th year despite poor weather on Monday.

The annual event runs over the August Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate the beauty of nature and welcomes visitors to join in with family activities.

The festival has a collection of exhibitors who return year on year and many came back for this special occasion.

Organiser Julie McKellar said: “We had lots of great comments from parents who couldn’t believe what a good time their children were having.

“The whole thing was a very successful event and we had a good response from the people who came to do exhibitions.”

This year saw 28 acts organised by the 4014 Project providing live music for the festivities and street food stalls from Bristol’s Love Food Fest providing food for the crowds.

Julie thanked the 90 volunteers and talkers who made the event possible and congratulated the schools which received a wildlife bench, including Malmesbury Primary Schools.
