A NEW comedy starring David Mitchell is being filmed in Stroud today.

TV crews are filming a new pilot show for Channel 4, it is understood, and have been seen in several locations around Stroud.

Mitchell was seen filming scenes for the new show in King Street, Stroud, this morning.

Yesterday, the empty Mother Nature Stroud shop in Bedford Street was transformed into a funeral directors for the production.

Crews were also at the Cheapside car park and in the cemetery off Highfields Road and Spider Lane.

The area in Bedford Street was blocked off as filming takes place this afternoon.

Mitchell, star of Peep Show and That Mitchell and Webb Look, was seen arriving in Stroud at around 2.30pm.

It's believed he is working on a new sitcom which will also star Robert Webb.

The Stroud district has been used as a filming location for several TV productions, including Cider With Rosie, Poldark and The Casual Vacancy over the last two years.
