FAMILIES flocked to Stratford Park this afternoon for Stroud's annual Family Fun Day.

Hundreds came along to enjoy an array of entertainments and activities, as well as live music at the event organised by Churches Together in Stroud.

Back by popular demand from last year was Bristol’s Renewal Gospel Choir, who performed alongside singer Geraldine Latty.

Professional diablo freestyler, Matt Pacey, who regularly performs in front of tens of thousands of people at festivals and stadia across the world, and Gloucestershire’s Ambitions Dance Group wowed the crowds at the free event.

Organiser Phil Coysh, of the Stroud-based event charity, Ignition, said: "The whole idea of this event is to bring the community together in an atmosphere of fun and celebration.

"We have designed the event so that there is someone for everyone, from toddlers right through to young at heart grandparents."
