A MOTORIST who was stopped by police driving his Volvo V40 has been banned for drink-driving.
Daniel Brooks, 49, of Selsley Road, North Woodchester, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates Court to driving with excess alcohol on February 13 this year on the A4066 at Nympsfield, Stonehouse.
He was found to have 112 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, the legal limit being 80 milligrams.
Cheltenham magistrates banned Brooks for 12 months, fined him £300 and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £85.
