RODBOROUGH parish has a brand new priest at the helm.
The Rev Peter Francis was licensed to the parish of Rodborough by the Bishop of Gloucester, Rachel Treweek, at a special ceremony on Sunday September 25.
Mr Francis has just moved from Brimscombe to Rodborough and continues as priest in charge of Woodchester and Brimscombe.
All three charges will now start work together in closer partnership.
“I am excited about the possibilities and we are already starting new things,” he said.
“We will be starting a new monthly service in Rodborough on Sunday afternoons at 4pm, meeting at TOES on the October 2.
“We’ll be exploring big issues and stories with discussion and art and reflection, and cake.
“This Sunday will be a creative Harvest celebration – so do bring something to donate to foodbank if you can.”
