Reader's Letter: What am I paying council tax for?
I PUT out two rolls of carpet rolled up with tape round them to stop them unwinding, one was 4ft long and 8ins across with the other 3ft long and 6ins across which I carried one under each arm. Guess what? The refuse collector left them.
I phoned Stroud District Council and asked why they were left and was told they were bulky items and I could have three items collected for £15 the two rolls of carpet plus another item, are they having a laugh as I am paying £200 a month council tax, for what?
