STROUD-BASED Paul Neale was in terrific form during the latest IMBA European Championship motocross action held at Wingles in Northern France,scorching to his maiden overall win, writes Mike Wood.
In the opening race, Paul,23, made a terrific start to lead the way before being relegated back to second after being passed by fellow British rider Ryan Morris.
In moto two, Paul led the way to defeat Dutch rider Jarno Derks.
In the final and deciding race of the day, the fromer Maidenhill pupil charged to the first corner but just when another victory looked on the cards, Belgian Karel Schepmans found a way through. Howevever, Paul earned the overall win,joined on the podium by Ryan Morris in second and Jarno Derks was third.
With one round remaining of the European series still to come in Holland,Paul has now moved up to eigth in the European Championship standings.
