GLOUCESTER second row forward Elliott Stooke has joined Aviva Premiership club London Irish on loan until the end of the 2015/16 season.
The 22-year old lock, a former junior at Stow RFC, has made nine appearances for the Cherry and Whites this season, and it was confirmed last month that he would be moving to Bath Rugby following the completion of his current contract at Kingsholm in the summer.
Stooke has joined the Exiles and links up with his new team mates as they prepare for this weekend's Aviva Premiership clash with Northampton Saints.
Meanwhile, Gloucester forward Matt Kvesic has been released back to his club side from the England training camp for the second Six Nations international in a row.
Kvesic missed the final cut for the Scotland v England game at the start of the tournament, which the visitors won 15-9 at Murrayfield, but had been recalled to Eddie Jones’ international squad at the start of the week ahead of the clash with Italy in Rome.
