BRIMSCOMBE boss Sam Prior has admitted his side's record-breaking FA Cup run has had an adverse effect on league form.

The Lilywhites travel to Southern Premier outfit Weymouth in the FA Cup third qualifying round on Saturday, fell to a fourth straight league defeat at Flackwell Heath, losing 3-0.

"The lads' minds are firmly fixed on the FA Cup and it's extremely difficult to get them switched onto anything else," said Prior, who will have Weymouth watched at Cinderford tomorrow night.

"Our league form has certainly suffered on the back of our cup run, and we've seen it with many sides before us, so the boys are getting the benefit of the doubt at the moment, but make no bones about it, we will be expecting better from all, when the time comes to focus on the league."

Brimscombe play Thame United at home on Tuesday night.
