Great Oldbury Youth Football Club have been nominated for a Stroud News and Journal Community Award.

Nailsworth MOT Centre has also been nominated for the Best Customer Service award in the Stroud News and Journal Community Awards.

The centre which is based on the Inchbrook Trading estate has outstanding customer service always putting the needs of the customer first.

They were nominated by Holly Williams who said: "I believe that Nailsworth MOT Centre should win as even though I work here as front of house I work alongside the best guys that always have the customer at the forefront

"They go above and beyond and always fit in customers at the drop of a hat even though they are already over ran with work. They do it with a smile on their faces and also nothing is ever too much hassle.

"The team have gone from a small amount of staff to now a great team which means we can serve more people in the community and get them back on the road in quicker time

"We have a very friendly team who all muck in and I never hear any of the lads moan about anything. I feel very lucky to work alongside the lads here."

Brad Brinkwort said: "Fantastic football club set up by my wife it has brought a fantastic atmosphere of learning and friendships throughout the club, the clubs volunteers are all polite friendly and really have the children's best interests at heart when teaching them how to play football.

"Endless fundraising for charities, it has brought amazing community spirit and endless happiness."
