POLICE have issued a warning about a suspicious man who has been going door-to-door targeting people in the Dursley area.
A community alert issued by Gloucestershire Police states the man first posts a leaflet through doors offering money for jewellery.
Officers say he then returns later on in the day asking to buy jewellery.
A police spokesperson said: “If you do not wish to sell jewellery he will ask for his leaflet back.
“If you do not wish to sell jewellery leave the leaflet outside and do not feel you need to open the door to him. If you feel intimidated by the male then please call us.
“Please help us raise awareness of this by informing your elderly or vulnerable relatives, friends and neighbours.”
