POLICE in Stroud say they continue to work with partners in the canals trust and town council to address matters of anti-social behaviour.

Officers say they are working with the partners to address issues such as criminal damage, littering and dogs being off their leads.

Following several summit meetings, CCTV has now been installed at the underpass in Wallbridge, with hopes that this could deter any further anti-social behaviour in the area.

Litter, drug paraphernalia, graffiti and dog mess have all blighted the canal path in Stroud in recent months.

Police wrote on social media: "We would like remind people that offences such as graffiti are taken seriously.

"In December last year we prosecuted a male responsible for a large piece of graffiti on Ocean Railway Bridge in Stonehouse.

"We will continue to work together to identify those responsible for damage such as this and take appropriate action to ensure the canals network is safe for everyone to enjoy."
